Knowledge base index

This page is the map. Every topic below already has a section of its own; the index groups them so a question can be routed to the right place, and so a search result or an answer can cite one section instead of the whole site. Nothing here is behind a form and nothing needs an account.

Index

Ten topics, in reading order

The first six follow the order a specification is actually settled: what the fiber is, how heavy the sheet is, how big it is, how it is packed, how it comes out of the pack, and how a sample is approved. The remaining four are reference material.

Glossary Eighteen terms used across this site, each defined where it appears: spunlace, blend ratio, GSM, piece weight, series, the three texture names, folds, dispenser and single-sheet packs, fuzzing, lint, private label, approved sample, and GB/T 40276-2021. Materials and blend ratio Four material options side by side at the same GSM, what each one feels like dry and wet, and why the blend ratio is a specification field rather than a footnote to the material name. GSM and piece weight What GSM does and does not measure, the arithmetic that turns nominal size and GSM into a theoretical piece weight with four worked examples, and why a higher GSM is not automatically better. Sizes and series Nine confirmed unfolded sizes across the 20 cm and 30 cm series, which pack formats each series is made in, and the two size-level limits worth writing down before a specification is agreed. Pack formats Five pack formats, the fold each one carries, the series each is made in, and how a towel comes out of each — plus the seven points to settle before a packaging price means anything. Fold and dispensing The fold rule on this line, why an opening is not the same as a dispenser, and why a 30 cm towel is always taken by hand rather than drawn through a pack. Sample approval The record to keep when samples are compared, the conditions that have to match first, what to observe dry and wet, and the difference between fuzzing and lint. Manufacturing and private label Who manufactures the towels, what the GB/T 40276-2021 drafting role does and does not mean, capacity, lead time, export markets, and the five steps from requirement to shipment. Retail shelf notes Ten short notes from reading 121 face towel product pages in six markets: which pages state a GSM, how fiber and size are worded, what a pack holds, and where a price comparison goes wrong. Common questions Whether every option can be combined, whether a higher GSM is better, what to compare on samples, what a private-label quotation needs, and what falls outside this knowledge base.

Scope

What this knowledge base is, and is not

What it is

  • A free reference on disposable spunlace nonwoven face towels, written around one product line.
  • Specification-led: sizes, GSM, folds, and pack formats are stated as discrete options rather than ranges.
  • Bounded where the evidence is bounded. Where a figure comes from this manufacturer's own projects rather than a market study, the text says so.

What it is not

  • Not a wholesale catalogue. There is no stock list and no published price; towels are made to a private-label specification.
  • Not a market report. The shelf notes describe 121 pages read in one month, not the retail market.
  • Not a certificate. Nothing here replaces a laboratory test, a compliance assessment, or a certification.

Reading this site needs no form, no account, and no email address. The enquiry form exists only for buyers who want a private-label specification discussed with the manufacturer.
