JERISS — FACE TOWEL SAMPLE COMPARISON CHECKLIST Plain text record for buyers. Print it, or copy it into your own sheet. Source guide: https://jeriss.com/ Manufactured by QINGDAO JAROLL HYGIENE PRODUCTS CO., LTD. Questions: henry@jaroll.com WHAT THIS IS A purchasing record for comparing face towel samples under the same conditions. It is not a laboratory test, not a compliance assessment, and not a certification. It sets no pass criteria. Where a specification needs measured values, agree the test method and the acceptance limits in writing before sampling. HOW TO USE IT Fill one block per sample. Change one variable at a time. If two samples differ in both GSM and fiber, you cannot tell which one caused the difference you felt. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- A. SET THE CONDITIONS FIRST (same for every sample in the comparison) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ ] Unfolded size recorded (cm), for example 20 x 20 cm [ ] GSM recorded (g/m2) [ ] Fiber composition recorded, including the blend ratio (for example 70% viscose / 30% polyester) [ ] Dry or wet condition stated, and how much water was used [ ] Water temperature the same for every sample [ ] Contact time the same for every sample [ ] Lighting and background the same for every sample [ ] Piece weight weighed on the same scale, if weight matters to the project [ ] Pack format and piece count recorded for each sample --------------------------------------------------------------------------- B. OBSERVE AND RECORD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sample ID: ______________ Date: ____________ Observer: ______________ Size: ____________ GSM: __________ Composition: _____________________ Texture (plain / pearl / F): ________ Color: ________ Condition tested (dry / wet): ________ Pack format: ______________ HAND FEEL Dry: ______________________________________________________ Wet: ______________________________________________________ Compared with which other sample, and how: ______________________ SURFACE FUZZING (fiber standing up on the surface) Rubs applied and area: _________________________________________ Result: ______________________________________________________ LINT (fiber or fragments leaving the towel) Surface used to catch it (for example dark glass or fabric): ____ Result: ______________________________________________________ ABSORBENCY Time until the water disappears (seconds): _____________________ Note: this records speed, not total capacity. BEHAVIOR WHEN WET Stretch, distortion, splitting, or pilling: ____________________ DISPENSING How the towel comes out of the pack: ___________________________ One at a time, or more than one: _______________________________ Does the pack close again, and does it still close after 10 uses? PACKAGING Piece count: ______ Fold (1/2 or 1/4): ______ Size series: ______ (20 cm or 30 cm) Opening type: ______________________ Print legibility: ________ Carton and pallet notes: _______________________________________ ODOR Noticeable when dry? ______ When wet? ______ Description: ___________________________________________________ Note: a faint odor can be noticeable with viscose. Record it; do not treat this observation as a safety assessment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- C. FUZZING AND LINT ARE DIFFERENT --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fuzzing is fiber standing up on the surface of the towel. The fabric looks fuzzy or rough, but the towel is intact. Lint is fiber or fragments leaving the towel and landing somewhere else. A towel can fuzz without shedding, and it can shed without obvious fuzzing. Record them in separate fields. Fuzzing is mainly a question of fiber composition and spunlace bonding; lint has to be traced to the specific surface and use. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- D. DECISION NOTES --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sample approved: ______________ Date: ____________ Approved as the reference for: ____________________________________ Open questions to put to the supplier: 1. _____________________________________________________________ 2. _____________________________________________________________ 3. _____________________________________________________________ Tests or documents still required before production: ______________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- E. POINTS THAT OFTEN GET MISSED --------------------------------------------------------------------------- - A higher GSM is not automatically softer, thicker in feel, or more absorbent. Confirm on the sample. - Fold decides, not the pack shape. A 1/2 fold is the only one that can be built as a dispenser pack; box and portable pouch are 1/4 and are taken sheet by sheet. There is no 1/6 fold on this line. Ask about the fold, not only the pack shape. - Series follows the pack. All three bag formats are made in the 20 cm series only, so a 30 cm towel comes in a box or a portable pouch and is taken by hand. No 30 cm size is a dispenser pack on this line. - Two things to hold together: 10 x 20 cm is not made as a bottom-pull large pack, and the portable pouch is the only format that runs every confirmed size in both series. - Blend ratio is a specification field of its own. "Viscose / polyester" without a ratio does not define a product. - Piece weight calculated from size and GSM is arithmetic, not a measured value. Weigh the sample if weight matters. - Environmental wording follows the final composition of the towel body and the packaging separately. A polyester blend does not inherit a pure-fiber claim.
